Habitat of Benton County

Habitat for Humanity of Benton County , Inc. is an non-denominational Christian housing ministry with the objective of elimination poverty housing from within Benton County and to make decent shelter a matter of conscience as well as action. In addition to building houses, Habitat for Humanity helps to build relationships with families and the community that result in a sense of belonging to the community for the new homeowner. We seek to serve those in Benton County that are in need of affordable housing.

Congratulations!

New Homeowner Nancy DeShield and Family!

Ground-Breaking

The home dedication was Thursday, May 3rd. in Pea Ridge and pictured above is new Habitat homeowner Nancy with her three children, Bradley, Kaila and Bianca.

Home dedications are always important as they represent a new path and a new beginning for the Habitat home owner and family. It is a time for celebration with friends and volunteers from Habitat.

This dedication was especially meaningful as this build was in memory of Ron Glasgow our Construction Committee member. Ron had been with our affiliate for 12 years and his passing has left a void in our hearts and the hearts of all that knew him.

Included in the dedication were words in remembrance of Ron by members of his family and his church, Grace United Methodist of Rogers. Also in attendance was Doug Harper from Habitat for Humanity International as well as Mayor Crabtree.

We want to thank everyone that has participated in this build. Without your help and dedication to Habitat of Benton County this would not have been possible.

We Need Families!

Applying for a home is not difficult and we need families that qualify. You can own your own home through Habitat for Humanity. If you think you might qualify or know of someone that would be interested in applying use the "Apply for Home" tab for more information.
New homes are sold in exchange for 400 hours of sweat equity and the cost of building the home. You will have a mortgage that is interest free and normally is for 20 years. A down payment of $600 is required but can be paid out over the time period it takes to get your sweat equity.
